What’s Happening to the Old Homestead Steakhouse at Caesars Palace?

The Old Homestead Steakhouse is the oldest continuously running steakhouse in the United States, located in New York and formerly, Las Vegas. It has served the best quality steaks across the US for almost two centuries, making it a household name. Some dishes served at the restaurant include New York Strip, porterhouse for two, the 24-ounce Gotham rib-eye steak on the bone, and a 10-ounce rare Japanese A5 wagyu. You can also enjoy some great wine selections from the restaurant’s cellar, holding up to 15,000 bottles.

It was opened in Vegas in 2011 with a size of  6,012 square feet and a capacity of 250 seats. The space was augmented further in 2016 by 1,000 square feet to meet the demand. Unfortunately for the patrons in Las Vegas, the steakhouse will be closing its doors at its old location at the Caesars Palace on May 29, 2023.

Chef Bobby Flay

Bowing out of the Las Vegas market after 11 years, its location will now be home to the next restaurant by the celebrity chef Bobby Flay. The restaurateur has been running several restaurants, including Bobby’s Burgers, Messa Grills, and the Amalfi restaurant, also at the Caesars Palace, since 2021.

How it Looks

Brasserie B
Brasserie B by Bobby Flay

The restaurant that will replace the Old Homestead Steakhouse is Brasserie B by Bobby Flay. It will feature an L-shaped, 20-seat bar with weathered marble, wood, and zinc accents. The main dining room of the restaurant is spacious, with 140 seats. The artistic nature of the new French-style restaurant will wow visitors. The decor includes blown glass chandeliers, cane-backed cafe chairs, and handmade subway tile.

The Food

Steak Frites

Brasserie B by Bobby not only carries French blending but will serve authentic French dishes to keep you wanting more. Its primary focus will be to ensure the star of the brasserie, the French fries, is top-notch. You can get a wide selection of dishes with French fries. The steak frites, for example, are French fries served with steak. The restaurant plans to have an entire kitchen section dedicated to preparing Parisian-style French fries since they can take up to two days to prepare from scratch.

Opening

The opening date of the Brasserie B by Bobby Flay is a carefully guarded secret. It is yet to be announced.
