12 Places to Slurp Down Oysters in Las Vegas

From dimly lit neighborhood restaurants to 24-hour spots inside neon casinos, Las Vegas is home to dozens of oyster bars. We tried out the best ones on the Strip and nearby. The flavor and freshness were amazing.

Most of these oyster bars serve half-shell oysters alongside fish, clams, shrimp, crab, lobster, and other seafood classics.

1. The Oyster Bar at Palace Station

The Oyster Bar at Palace Station is well known for its incredible selection of fresh seafood prepared in front of the guests. Steamed clams, freshly shucked oysters, homemade clam chowder, and fresh shrimp cocktails are just a few items on their menu. Mind you, they’re open 24 hours a day. You can step in any time to enjoy fresh seafood in the center of the casino floor.

2. Oyster Bar at Santa Fe Station

The Oyster Bar at Santa Fe Station is a Station Casino oyster bar specializing in an expansive list of cooked and raw seafood and Louisiana flavor selections. Guests can order Gold Band oysters by the dozen or half dozen or go for specialty varieties that vary daily. Their menu also includes fish and chips, gumbo, pan roasts, and oyster shooters.

3. Shucks Tavern and Oyster Bar

Shucks Tavern and Oyster Bar was established back in 1999. Since then, they’ve been serving a menu that both tourists and locals love. They have two locations that operate 24 hours a day, but the Flamingo Road Location is the most popular. Guests can order a dozen oysters on a half shell for $22.99 or a half dozen for $14.99. Head over and try their famous Peruvian-style oysters topped with shrimp ceviche or the seafood pan roasts to expand your palette. 

4. Brigg’s Oyster Co.

Brigg’s Oyster Co. is located on the west side of town tucked inside Suncoast Casino. The restaurant serves its periodic $1 oyster specials and specialty oysters. Guests can order ahi tuna tacos, shrimp mac and cheese or lobster, asiago sole, and an expansive list of sushi, including rolls, donburi, sashimi, and rolls.

5. The Legends Oysters Bar & Grill

Legends Oysters Bar & Grill is famous for serving Strip-quality dishes. Their pan roast comes with a crab, tomato cream sauce, shrimp, and lobster served over rice. They also serve gumbo stocked with crawfish, shrimp, clams, mussels, and chicken. 

6. Proper Eats Food Hall

Proper Eats food hall is the ideal spot for a midweek treat. The oyster bar is located inside the Aria, where they offer a weekday $1.50 oyster happy hour. This offering is available at Proper Eats’s Proper Bar from 4 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Their oysters are varieties found on the coast, including Atlantic Blue Point oysters. 

7. Big Al’s Oyster Bar at the Orleans

Big Al’s Oyster Bar is located inside the Orleans. This Cajun-influenced destination serves oysters on the half-shell by the dozen or half dozen. Guests can find Creole-style seafood dishes such as Jumbo crawfish with spicy tarragon butter, Louisiana crab cakes, seafood gumbo, jambalaya pasta, and po’boy sandwiches with beer-battered shrimp.

The Oyster Bar at Sunset Station serves Louisiana-style seafood with a seating space that offers kitchen views. They provide customizable spice levels on entrees and oysters by the dozen or half dozen. 

9. Big Sur Oyster Bar

Big Sur Oyster Bar is located inside South Point, where guests can grab a stool in this popular oyster bar and grab a mouthwatering meal. The oyster bar is located right off the casino floor, where they serve Louisiana Gold Seal oysters by the dozen or half dozen. Additionally, they serve oysters Rockefeller, Bloody Mary oyster shooter, and lobster grilled cheese.

10. Water Grill

Water Grill is situated in the Forum Shop at Caesar’s Palace. They serve oysters from both the east and west coasts. Diners have the option to choose either by the dozen or half dozen. They also serve a sampler platter with various oysters from the East and West coasts. 

11. Other Mama

Other Mama is a raw oyster bar serving a rotating daily selection of oysters accompanied by a wasabi cocktail, ponzu salsa, or habaneros and pickled peppers. Diners looking for something more novel can try the oyster topped with uni and salmon roe.

12. Tides Oyster Bar

Tides Oyster Bar is situated inside the Green Valley Ranch located in Henderson. This inviting and warm restaurant serves oysters by the dozen or half dozen, including other varieties. They also offer a full sashimi and sushi menu, plus rotating seafood selections served pan-seared, grilled, or blackened.
