Glittering Lights, the annual Christmas display, is back at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Glittering Lights Drive-Thru Light Show
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Glittering Lights has once again overtaken the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the holiday season. The popular annual attraction is open now through Sunday, January 8; it’s even open on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. Hop in your car and drive through millions of lights that create delightful holiday scenes all around the 2.5-mile stretch of the race track.
Upon entering the speedway, tune your car’s radio to Sunny 106.5 to enjoy classic Christmas tunes during your drive. If you plan your visit accordingly, you can also see local churches participating in a live nativity scene. Check the events calendar for live nativity dates as well as other special offerings.
Spreading Christmas Cheer
In addition to being a fun family tradition, Glittering Lights supports local charities Speedway Children’s Charities, Goodwill of Southern Nevada, and Project 150. It will also support The Boy Scouts of Southern Nevada who will be selling concessions upon entry to the lights. They will take orders for hot chocolate, water, kettle corn, and other treats. They will also deliver snacks directly to your vehicle.
Tickets
Tickets can be purchased online. Admission is charged by vehicle, not per person. Anyday tickets are $39 and Weekday Value tickets are $29; these can only be used Monday through Thursday and not on holiday blackout dates. Season tickets are available for $129, which allows unlimited access for 2 vehicles and the ability to use the Fast Pass lane.
Hours
Glittering Lights will be open from Thursday, November 10 through Sunday, January 8. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday from 4:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday, Saturday, and Holidays, December 16 through 26 from 4:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Location
The event advises not to use GPS when traveling to the speedway, but use the following directions instead: Take I-15 North, take Exit 54 onto Speedway Boulevard, turn right and, stay in the left two lanes on Speedway Boulevard for approximately half a mile; For the Fast Pass lane, follow the signs to Fast Pass entry.
