The Pumpkin Man Triathlon will be held in Boulder City and around Lake Mead on Saturday, October 22, the weekend before Halloween. Participants will swim, bike, and run starting at Lake Mead and ending at Wilbur Square in Boulder City. This triathlon has a few different course options to choose from and is open for everyone to participate, or to just come out, support, and watch.
Race Routes & Details
PumpkinMan offers a few different race routes for participants to choose from.
The Olympic Triathlon is the most challenging route with a 1500-meter swim, 24.8-mile bike ride, and 6.2-mile run. The Sprint Triathlon is described as ideal for triathlon beginners and is the most popular choice among participants. This is a 750-meter swim, 12.4-mile bike ride, and 3.1-mile run. The third option is the Olympic Aquabike, which is a 1500-meter swim and a 24.8-mile bike ride.

Race Day
On the day of the race, participants will be able to pick up their packets at the finish line in Wilbur Square starting at 5:30 am. Packets can also be picked up the day before, Friday, October 21, from 3 to 7 pm at Trek Bicycle.
On Saturday, the Olympic Triathlon and Olympic Aquabike will begin at 7 am, and the Sprint groups will start at 7:20 am. It will be an early morning and likely over by early afternoon.
Free shuttle transportation is available for athletes after the race. It will pick up at Wilbur Square and drop off at Boulder Beach on Lake Mead starting at 9:15 am and ending at 12:30 pm.
