The Water Lantern Festival will be at Sunset Park on Saturday, November 19. This is an event where people can decorate their own floating lanterns and then set them free on the pond at Sunset Park. Beforehand, there will be food trucks, live music, and all of the necessary supplies to decorate and put personal touches on the lanterns. Once it’s dark, thousands of candle-lit lanterns will be launched on the water.
This festival allows participants to set their worries, hopes, fears, and declarations for the future free!
The event is also eco-friendly. All of the lanterns and trash are cleaned up by event staff, plus the LED candles inside of the lanterns are reused and recycled. They also partner with water.org, which provides safe sanitary water to people all over the world.
Schedule of Events
The Las Vegas Water Lantern Festival starts at 2 pm. Live music will begin and food trucks will be open from 2 to 6:30 pm. At 4:30 pm, all participants can decorate their lanterns. Then, from 5 to 6:30 pm, it’s time to set the lanterns afloat on the pond.
Tickets
Tickets are on sale now. A standard adult ticket includes entry and a floating lantern kit for $35. A deluxe ticket includes all that a regular ticket does, plus a mandala throw and ticket insurance. The date night special is a deal for two adult tickets, with two floating lanterns, and one mandala throw for $75. Youth tickets, ages 8 to 14, cost $18 and also include a lantern kit.
