F1 Las Vegas: Biggest Event in the World?

The 2023 Las Vegas Grand Prix, which will take place just two weeks after Halloween, is poised to be 2023’s largest event. Here’s what you need to know.

Build Up

The Las Vegas Grand Prix

The Grand Prix will return to Las Vegas after a 40-year hiatus. The last time the Neon City saw this event was in 1981 and 1982, when the circuit was built entirely in the Caesars Palace Casino car park. F1’s return comes in a backdrop of numerous sports events, including the 2024 Super Bowl event scheduled to take place at the Las Vegas Raiders’ home ground, the Allegiant Stadium.

The Circuit

The event will occur for three consecutive days, from November 16 – 18. The first two days will feature warm-up races, with the qualification and main race on the 18th. Unlike the previous circuit, this year’s course covers 3.8 miles on the strip. It traverses famous landmarks, hotels, and casinos such as the Venetian, Caesars Palace, and the Bellagio.

Part of the circuit

While the city roads are bumpy, the City and F1 have partnered and meticulously worked on the course to prepare for the F1 rally. Most of the stretch of the circuit has now been repaved, and both underground and overhead wires have been moved. The track will still be about 12-15m wide, so cars can get alongside each other, even though it’s a street circuit.

Fan Experience

One of the event’s organizers and vice president of Caesars Palace, Sean McBurney, is optimistic about the fan experience. The hotels and casinos are ready for the guests visiting the city, with elaborate parties and meals for the extravaganza.

Stay in Style at Hilton Grand Vacation

Do you want to go? F1 has ticket prices ranging from VIP packages to grandstand seating and general admission. It won’t be cheap, however.
