The Chandelier Introduces New Cocktail Program: Here’s What to Drink

The next time you go to the Las Vegas Strip for drinks, consider The Chandelier at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas (home to many fabulous bars and speakeasies). Located in the heart of the casino, this high-class bar and lounge—adorned with a dazzling chandelier structure (hence the name)—offers new cocktails for you to drink in style.

Gedeon Tsegaye, head of mixology for The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, developed the multi-level bar’s new beverage menu to elevate the guest experience. Prepare for a drinking tour, as each floor offers a curated collection of innovative cocktails.

“For years, The Chandelier has been a place where Las Vegas guests experience mixology in its most artistic form,” Tsegaye said in a press release announcing the new cocktail program. “This new program has reconceptualized how a cocktail can tell a story, engaging all the senses, and will transport guests through an unforgettable journey.”

Start on Level 2, the top floor of The Chandelier. It offers an inviting space with drinks that will surely please, including force-carbonated, champagne-forward cocktails complemented by seasonal tastes and contemporary takes on traditional recipes. Begin with the They Not Like Us cocktail, a carbonated mango Mai Tai with turmeric, orgeat, and Manzanilla sherry. For something even more unique, the Burgundy My Strawberry, a clarified, strawberry-forward milk punch with designer ice, is an ideal option.

But don’t stop there. Level 1.5 of The Chandelier is the place to go if you want a fun, modern take on a traditional cocktail party. Here, you can expect a lively atmosphere, unique twists on classic cocktails, and a chance to mingle with other guests.

Drinks here include the My Friend Daiquirita, a carbon-negative, clarified cocktail made with Batiste Rhum, a modern spirit with California influences rooted in the history and customs of French Caribbean rhum agricole.

Another cocktail to enjoy is the cherry blossom-inspired Nice Blossoms, Sakura. It entices the taste buds with clarified lime juice and sakura vermouth espuma, a type of foam.

Lastly, Level 1 of The Chandelier is a vibrant area that serves classic cocktails that transport you back in time. Drawing inspiration from the prohibition era, the menu on this level focuses on spirit-forward drinks with strong, deep flavors.

Order libations like the Some Reading Material, a high-proof, pot-stilled play on the classic Sazerac featuring Old Potrero Whiskey, Jamaican rum, and chocolate bitters. You’ll also find the PM Per Diem on the menu. As a nod to the classic Rob Roy cocktail, this drink has Macallan, a 12-year single-malt scotch, Crown Royal, rich Italian vermouth, and Drambuie, a sweet, gold-colored liqueur. These concoctions were created to be the ideal nightcap for those who want to enjoy the rich, complex flavors of expertly made cocktails.

For those who prefer spirit-free drinks, Tsegaye has also curated a menu of non-alcoholic cocktails, such as the Mr. Orangesicles Nippy Mood and Sparkling Maui Wowie.

From smoking cocktails to clarified punches and force-carbonated libations, The Chandelier’s offerings redefine the cocktail culture in Las Vegas. Whether you’re a fan of bubbles, foams, or intense flavors, there’s something for everyone! Cheers!
