SkyDive Las Vegas is a local company that has been successfully conducting jumps out of airplanes near Lake Mead since 1993. They take visitors up to skydive daily, from 12,000 feet. They conduct over 10,000 jumps every year!
How It Works
Skydivers will jump in tandem with a professional instructor who will train and brief you on what to expect once you’re up in the sky. These instructors are highly experienced, with thousands of jumps under their belt, and licensed by the United States Parachute Association.
You’ll then be flown up in Skydive 1, an airplane that was specially built for skydiving. Next, it’s time to jump from 12,000 feet in the air! You’ll experience freefalling at over 120 MPH for about 30 to 45 seconds, then the instructor will pull the parachute. They’ll guide you and let you control the tandem parachute as you fly through the sky.
On your way back down to the ground, you’ll see all of the famous sights surrounding Las Vegas. Experience aerial views of Lake Mead, The Colorado River, The Hoover Dam, Lake Mohave, the Valley of Fire, Lake Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon, Mt. Charleston, and the Las Vegas Strip.
Pricing
Normally tandem jumps cost $299, but SkyDive Las Vegas is running a Summer Sale right now, so it only costs $199. Plus, you can receive an additional $10 off when you pay in cash.
If you would also like media services to document your jump, you can pay extra fees. During the Summer Sale photos cost $69, video costs $89, and both cost $119.
