4 Athletes Who Are Itching to Get Out of Vegas

These five athletes might be searching for a way out of Las Vegas. Let's break it all down!

#4 Maxx Crosby, Las Vegas Raiders defensive end

Maxx Crosby embodies greatness in the Las Vegas sports world. The Las Vegas Raiders defensive end was drafted in 2019 and made an immediate impact. He finished his rookie season with 47 tackles, ten sacks, 16 tackles for losses, and four forced fumbles. Crosby also finished the 2023 season with a career-best 90 tackles, 14.5 sacks, and 23 tackles for a loss.

The only problem is that the rest of the Las Vegas Raiders' defense can't keep up with him. Las Vegas essentially has one of the worst defenses in the league, and this hasn’t changed since 2019. That’s six years of disappointing seasons. Crosby is wasting his career in Las Vegas—and he realizes it.

He's stated that he doesn’t want to sit through a rebuild, and there are rumors he wants out. Crosby continues to deny those rumors, but so did Davante Adams before his departure in week six.

#3 Adin Hill, Las Vegas Golden Knights goalie

The Las Vegas Golden Knights have no loyalty to their players, and that’s terrible news for Adin Hill. The Golden Knights goaltender is in the final year of his contract and putting up some pretty weak numbers.

Multiple sources say the Golden Knights haven’t talked to Hill about a contract extension yet.  The team has eliminated several goalies; Adin Hill might be next. This is the same team that traded Marc-Andre Fleury the same year he won the Vezina trophy for best goalie.

Hill needs to improve or get out before they decide to remove him.

#2 Kelsey Plum, Las Vegas Aces guard kelsey plum on court with the las vegas aces

One of the biggest questions the Las Vegas Aces need to answer this offseason is what to do with Kelsey Plum. She is set to become a free agent, and there are rumblings that making her a core could be a big part of her upcoming contract.

Plum is in a very uncertain spot in her WNBA career. She is a seven-year veteran of the league, has a history of injuries, and she's on a team that runs a lot of offensive plays through Aja Wilson.

Plum might not want to play second fiddle to Wilson anymore. Additionally, the Aces' chances of a dynasty are gone now, which means it might be time to start over.

#1 Aidan O’Connell, Las Vegas Raiders Quarterback

Aidan O’Connell deserves better, and he’s probably not going to get it if he sticks with the Las Vegas Raiders. The rookie helped the team to a 5-5 record as a starter in his first season, finishing with 12 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also completed 213 of 343 passes for 2218 yards with a 62.3% passer rating in the 2023/24 season. The Las Vegas Raiders didn’t qualify for the playoffs that year but made great progress with O’Connell.

This is why it’s so disappointing that Gardner Minshew was given the starting job with the Raiders at the beginning of the new season. Antonio Pierce should have built on that progress in 2025.

Now, O’Connell is putting up some of the worst numbers of his young career, and the Raiders are going nowhere fast. O’Connell needs to be gone by the offseason to craft a new image somewhere else.
