The Las Vegas Aces have a lot to think about after a 93-85 loss to the Chicago Sky last Tuesday. The loss snaps a four-game winning streak and leaves the team third in the Western Conference. They are now also 5th in the WNBA, which gives them a lot of work to do heading into the second half of the season.
As always, A’ja Wilson led the way for the Aces with 28 points and 14 rebounds in 37 minutes. Tiffany Haynes also scored 19 points, three assists, and one rebound. Unfortunately for Las Vegas, they never made up the 13-point deficit the Sky established in the first quarter.
Bonus: Kate Martin suffers an injury

Even worse for the Las Vegas Aces, Katie Martin suffered an Achilles tendon bruise in the first quarter. This forced the Aces to adjust their game plan away from someone who was starting to help them with 3.6 points and two rebounds per game.
According to her father in an interview with KCCI, Matin's injury actually came at the perfect time due to the time off for the Olympic break. Martin doesn’t have to retake the court until August 17, giving her plenty of time to heal.

Las Vegas Raiders[/caption]
Find someone who believes in you like this gambler believes in the 2024 Las Vegas Raiders. The unnamed bettor put down $31,000 on the Raiders to win the Super Bowl. Remember that Las Vegas is listed at +8000 to go all the way and has one of the worst teams in the league.
The Raiders are also entering their first full year with Antonio Pierce as head coach and Aidan O’Connell as quarterback. These factors alone are going to make it a bumpy ride for the Raiders.
Still, the brave bettor will make over $2.4 million if the Raiders shape up and take home the Super Bowl.

Las Vegas sports has grown rapidly in the past few years. It started with the Las Vegas Golden Knights calling the city home in 2017 when they were announced as an NHL expansion team. Then, the Aces moved to Las Vegas and became one of the most powerful teams in the WNBA.
The Las Vegas Raiders came next, inserting NFL football into the sports mix. Now, there are deals in the work to finally bring the NBA to Sin City.
This team isn’t going to come cheap, though, and many are already calling it the most expensive NBA team in history. Two people familiar with the situation who spoke to the Morning Dallas Star claim the arrangement could cost $8 billion. That's an NBA record for a franchise acquisition.
#1 Davantae Adams' agent sets the record straight on trade rumors
Davantae Adams is often a topic of trade discussion, and it gets a little scary for Las Vegas Raiders fans. Not only is Adams hands down one of the Raiders' best players, but he's also a very impactful part of their offense. For example, he caught 103 receptions for 1,114 yards and eight touchdowns in 2023. He has an average catch of 11.1.
Raiders Nation can finally rest easy, however, after Adams' agents put an end to the rumors.
"This is baseless, unfounded speculation, and Davante is expected to be with the Raiders as there has been no trade talk -- period," agents Kenny Chapman and Frank Bauer told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
