Support HIV/Aids Patients at the Gala of GOREgeous
There were over 39 million people across the globe with HIV in 2022. That’s more than the population of Canada and 93 other countries. HIV/AIDs is an immunodeficient virus that reduces the body's immunity, making the patient vulnerable. Currently, the disease has no known cure, and patients have to rely on expensive retrovirals.
The Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence is a nonprofit organization in Nevada committed to helping those living with HIV. The organization has been operating since 2005 by raising money for charity and advocating for HIV/AIDS awareness through safer sex outreach and humor. Also, through Sisters’ AIDS Drug Assistance Program (SADAP), the Sin Sity Sisters have been instrumental in helping people living with HIV/AIDS get life-saving medication.
Funds for the charity are mainly raised through their two signature events, the Project Nunway fashion show and the Red Dress Charity event. Through the events, the Sin Sity Sisters have raised over $1 million to support Southern Nevadans in need.
The Sin Sity Sisters are hosting their 16th annual Red Dress Charity event on February 24 to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS. This year's event, titled the “GALA of the GOREgeous,” will be held at the Usual Place. It will be a night of entertainment, with exciting performances from celebrity drag queens and DJ Axis music. Dahli and Onyx Ondyx from “The Boulet Brothers’ Dragula” will accompany the show. VIP guests attending the party will have an exclusive meet and greet with the drag queens.

The Red Dress Charity Event 2024: Gala of GOREgeous[/caption]
The main event at the extravaganza is the Red Dress Ensemble Contest, which will let participants compete to show their creativity and skills. Attendees to the gala are encouraged to come in the goriest red outfit.
During the gala, participants will get a chance to outbid each other in a silent auction. Some items on the auction are day trips, unique clothing, show tickets, and pieces of art. Individuals who have made a significant impact through donations and talents will be inducted into the sainthood.
