Las Vegas NYE Fireworks 2024

It is barely a week until 2024, so the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has planned a great New Year's Eve event to surpass all the past events. As in the last event, all the main events will take place on the Strip and downtown Las Vegas, with the party culminating in one of the biggest fireworks shows ever to rock Las Vegas to close the curtains on the eventful and prosperous 2023 and usher in 2024.

More in ’24

This year’s celebrations, dubbed “More in ’24,” will include fireworks at nine casinos, including Fontainebleau Las Vegas. Event organizers are leaving nothing to chance. They have already started to set up the pyrotechnic displays in readiness for the 8-minute spectacle that will usher in 2024.

The celebration will bring over 356,000 visitors to view the fireworks. In line with the city’s culture of excellence, this year’s fireworks show will feature custom fireworks show co-producers that you can't see anywhere else. Some designs include 24 Karat Gold Glitter aerial shells, multicolored mines, and crossing variegated comets. The display will create varied patterns and shapes, including a chalice and champagne flute.

Rio will serve as the command center to oversee the successful launch of the fireworks displays. The fireworks will launch from the following buildings:

  • Aria

  • Caesars Palace

  • Fontainebleau

  • MGM Grand

  • Planet Hollywood

  • Resorts World

  • The Strat

  • The Venetian

  • Treasure Island

The pyrotechnics will be set to the music, starting with the traditional song “Auld Lang Syne” and continuing with pop and rock music. You can listen to the whole set of the party bangers on KOMP 92.3 and 97.1 The Point.

Downtown Plans

The festivities will not be confined to the Strip, as you can also enjoy the party mood with well-themed events such as the “NYE Time of Your Life Festival” hosted at the Fremont Street Experience.

Expect entertaining performances from the Third Eye Blind, Big Gigantic, Blackstreet, Kid n’ Play, and others. There will also be fireworks displays at the Plaza, specifically sections of Main Street from the Plaza to Fremont Street Experience pedestrian mall.

While roads may be closed during the fireworks displays, the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada will offer free transportation from 6 pm on New Year's Eve to 9 am the next day. Feel free to check all the detoured roads and other safety details on the official website.
