Welcome to October, where the only thing scarier than the haunted houses is the Raiders' stat sheet. Here are the 5 most frightening 2023 Las Vegas Raiders stats so far.
#5 The Las Vegas Raiders' offense stats are just horrible

Everything looks terrible with the Raiders' offense. A perfect example is Las Vegas finishing 2022 with the 12th-best offense in the league. Fast forward to 2023, and they are now ranked 26th in offense.
They are 15th in the passing game and dead last in the rushing game. This is a huge departure from the previous year.
#4 Josh Jacobs keeps disappointing

Josh Jacobs had every right to hold out for a better contract in 2023, but he is now suffering the consequences of those actions. Between only producing 166 yards in 62 carries and his longest run being ten yards, he has a lot to prove before the end of the season.
He has been somewhat reliable in the air. For example, Jacobs has the third most receptions of any Raider this year and has racked up 173 yards in 18 receptions. Those are some pretty promising stats and show that he is at least growing.
Holding out for a better contract and not developing chemistry with the team shows. He just hasn’t had enough snaps with the unit, and his attempts to work out over the offseason didn't help. Both Jimmy Garoppolo and Aidan O’Connell struggling to move the ball probably didn't help anything either and put a focus on the running back problem.
#3 Josh McDaniels is struggling

That coaching seat has to feel warmer for Josh McDaniels after going 1-3 to start the season. McDaniels has also taken a major gamble on the success of Jimmy Garoppolo, which doesn’t seem to be working out. He looks lost as he scrambles to find an answer that secures his job.
McDaniels keeps suffering from the same problem as last year. There's the same first-quarter string of decent plays, followed by the defense getting pushed to the goalline. He isn’t showing what it takes to put a full game together. He does do very well at making adjustments in the second half and closing the gap, but he always puts them in a bad situation first.

#2 The Raiders give up too many points

The fact that the Las Vegas Raiders have already given up 101 points in four games this season is jaw-dropping. That’s an average of 25 points a game and puts everything on the shoulders of the offense. The Raiders aren’t going to win games if they keep allowing their opponents to score so frequently and push them to the goalline.
Las Vegas has one of the worst defenses in the league, and it doesn’t look like anything's fixed. Of course, the Chandler Jones situation probably didn’t help, but the Raiders should have a backup plan. There is just no reason to be giving up this many points. Just imagine what a game against the Chiefs will look like.
#1 Jimmy Garoppolo’s touchdown to interception record

Jimmy Garoppolo has made many mistakes, and his worst is probably the touchdown to interception record. The former 49er currently has five touchdowns and six interceptions in only three weeks of NFL play this season. This stat alone is really hurting the team at a time when they need to protect the ball. Keep in mind that these are key drives that get destroyed due to Grappolo's turnover issues.
Garoppolo only threw one interception in their 17-16 victory over the Broncos but then threw two interceptions the next week against the Bills. The worst example is his three interceptions against the Steelers.
A bonus stat for fans to consider is Garoppolo’s inability to throw the long ball. His longest completion this season is for 32 yards. He also seems to have a reliance on the same three or four wide receivers and isn’t utilizing the weapons available.
Michael Mayer, for example, has only received two targets so far this season and only brought one of them down.
