Is the Peter Luger Restaurant Open in Las Vegas?

It is official; the third Peter Luger Steakhouse is opening soon!

The Legendary Peter Luger Steak House is coming to Caesars Palace Las Vegas on November 1, 2023. After operating for 135 years in Brooklyn, this New York's top-rated steak house is a world-famous choice for locals and tourists alike.

The move to Sin City shall be its first domestic expansion in over sixty years. We can't wait for the Vegas launch.

Where It All Began

The Michelin-starred restaurant has humble beginnings that date back to 1887. At that time, Peter Luger, assisted by his nephew Carl, operated the restaurant as "Carl Luger's Cafe Billiards and Bowling Alley." Peter handled the overall administration while Carl was in charge of the kitchen.

Following the demise of Peter Luger in 1941, the restaurant fell into ruins and ended up for sale in an auction. Sol Forman, of the infamous Forman Family, purchased and transformed the steakhouse into the culinary rite of passage it is today. Indeed, in 1984, Peter Luger Restaurant made it to the Zagats restaurant reviews list of the best steak houses in New York City. It held this notable recognition for 30 years and counting.

Today, Peter Luger Steakhouse is an iconic German beer hall setting where bow-tied servers serve USDA-Prime steaks dry-aged on-site to the guests' delight. It has an additional location in Great Neck. Both spots have a cash-only policy, requiring cash payments except for online orders. Its old-world charm, notorious gruff, and finest dining experiences continue to make it a favorite steakhouse for many.
