Everything You Need to Know About the Deuce Bus on the Strip

The Deuce bus is a public bus that helps the general public traverse the Las Vegas Strip. It's run by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) and operates 24/7 from the South Strip Transit Terminal, up and down the resort corridor, and to Downtown Las Vegas and Las Vegas South Premium Outlets. In fact, it covers 51 routes and has stops every quarter mile, at almost all major hotels, casinos, restaurants, and attractions along the Strip.

Having a ride in a taxi isn't as convenient as using this bus. The RTC bus picks up passengers on and off the street. You can catch a Deuce bus every 12 to 15 minutes during peak hours and 15 to 21 minutes at off-peak. It has a comfortable ride with plenty of space as it is an air-conditioned double-decker bus with a recognizable look.

What You Should Know Before Boarding

The Deuce bus is designed to be inclusive, clean, and safe for all commuters. It's equipped with lifts, kneel to the curb, and has low floors for wheelchair users. Before entering the bus or booking a ticket on the RTC's Ticket Vending Machine (TVM), ensure you have the exact fare, as the driver and the TVM do not provide change.

There are also a few rules while on board that you should keep in mind:

  • No smoking, eating, or, drinking

  • Always wear your shirt and shoes

  • No pets are allowed

  • Always keep the aisles clear

  • Kids must be removed from strollers.
