What Happened to Wolfgang Puck’s Players Locker?
It's official. Wolfgang Puck Players Locker in Downtown Summerlin is now closed.
But Wolfgang Puck fans have no reason to complain; the restauranter isn't going anywhere. The sports restaurant will transform into a fine dining spot helmed by Puck in time for the 2024 Super Bowl. The Players Locker officially shut its doors on July 30, 2023.

Wolfgang Puck Players Locker opened in Downtown Summerlin in February 2020. It operated as a partnership between the American celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and five Golden Knights players, replacing the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill. And, for the last three years, the Players Lounge was a hot spot in Downtown Summerlin, serving delicious meals named after the players.
The 2024 Super Bowl will be at the Allegiant Stadium, 21 minutes from Downtown Summerlin. By this time, we expect the restaurant to reemerge with a new concept and name, having undergone renovations estimated at $7 million. It will be a high-end new Lupo following the recent exit of Lupo in Mandalay Bay. The restaurant will retain up to 25 percent of its popular Italian cuisines. In addition, there shall be Mediterranean dishes.
Management had notified the staff months ago about the planned shutdown, but no one expected it to be this soon. Some staff expected a closing party or event sometime in August. Instead, the announcement was made in a staff meeting on July 30, followed immediately by the closure. Soon, the excitement about the planned renovations and renaming turned into shock as staff raised concerns about their promised tenure at other Wolfgang Puck restaurants. The promise to temporarily relocate staff to other Wolfgang Puck locations was never in writing.
On August 2, staff received email messages asking those interested to continue working for the restaurant to reapply at other Wolfgang Puck restaurants.
Loyal guests must find alternative Downtown Summerlin dining spots for the next few months.
