Harry Reid International Airport, also known as the Las Vegas Airport, is the main gateway for visitors flying into Las Vegas. The airport has two main terminals, located eight miles from the Strip and the Downtown areas.
Here are five ways you can get to the Strip from the Las Vegas Airport:
1. Las Vegas Airport Shuttle

The Las Vegas Airport Shuttle is a shared shuttle service offering the minimalist traveler a cost-effective commute to the Strip. You can get from the Las Vegas Airport to the Strip and back for as little as $30. And some hotels have their private airport shuttle service, transporting guests to and from their stays for free.
2. Uber or Lyft

The airport shuttle service is reliable and affordable, but it makes numerous stops on its way to the Strip to drop off the shared passengers. If you are in a hurry and still want to travel on a budget, hop on an Uber or Lyft to the Strip. Uber/ Lyft will take you on a solo trip to your destination at a price similar to airport shuttles.
Besides, this private commute reaches areas away from the public transport route, making them ideal for drop-offs to off-the Strip hotels and attraction sites. The transparent pricing by Uber/Lyft makes it less prone to scammers.
3. Vegas Taxi

You can catch a cab from the Las Vegas Airport to the Strip for a flat rate of $19, $23, or $27 one-way trip, depending on your destination. These cab flat rates aim to discourage “long hauling,” a common practice by taxi drivers to drive up fares by taking scenic routes to the hotels. Most Vegas airport taxis are conveniently outside Terminals 1 and 3, near baggage claim and Level 0, respectively. Remember to tip the cab driver about 15% of the fare.
4. Airport Limo Service

Are you traveling to Vegas in style? Book an airport limo service for a comfortable and stylish start to your luxury Las Vegas experience. You can get a limo airport transfer deal from Groupon for a $60 one-way trip. Alternatively, book directly with the limo company for an hourly or flat round trip. Direct bookings are available as walk-up limo services are on a fast-come-first-served basis. Still, they may not be available during the peak season in Vegas. If you make limo arrangements through your hotel, a driver will wait for you at the baggage claim.
5. Car Rental

If you prefer to drive yourself around Las Vegas, you can rent a car. For this, take an airport shuttle bus to the Rent-a-Car Center, three miles from Las Vegas Airport. From here, you can pick a car from at least ten car rental companies. Alternatively, pre-book the vehicle and have it conveniently delivered to you at Stage No. 4, right at the airport.
