The Las Vegas Arts District is an 18-block zone that was set up in 1998 by a group of artists and business owners as a place for them to work, live and showcase their work. 18b, as it is popularly known, is located south of downtown Las Vegas, Nevada, between the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip and the Fremont Street Experience.

First Friday Art Walk and Preview Thursday
The First Friday Foundation has been organizing the First Friday Art Walk and Preview Thursday monthly, an event that draws as many as 30,000 visitors monthly. This festival includes art performances such as live music and visual performances.

Friday walk art is intended to promote and patronize the current businesses, eateries, artists, and people selling crafts at the event. The event is held every first Friday of the month, and it can draw crowds due to the proximity of the arts district to other neighborhoods.

Your visit to any district in the sin city will never be complete without a few drinks. There are several bars and nightclubs where you can enjoy drinks. Some spots you should consider are Velveteen Rabbit, Artifice, Rebar, and Frankie's Tiki Room.
At the Velveteen Rabbit, there is an ever-changing menu of cocktails, as well as 12 beers on tap and almost 20 bottled beers. While the Artifice features an onsite live performance area and two lounges, Rebar is a combination bar and antique store, and Frankie's Tiki Room is a unique tropical tiki bar.

The district is full of restaurants and eateries to get you some wholesome meals and great snacks for all occasions. Visit Mingo Kitchen and Lounge,
which offers an inventive and risque menu, or Lola's Louisiana Kitchen,
which serves authentic Cajun food.
