Professional Lacrosse Is Coming to Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Desert Dogs professional lacrosse team will make their debut on Friday, December 16 at Michelob Ultra Arena at Mandalay Bay.

The professional sports scene continues to grow in Las Vegas with the addition of lacrosse. The Las Vegas Desert Dogs’ inaugural season will start on Friday, December 16 at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay. The team is owned by top athletes Wayne Gretzky, Steve Nash, and Dustin Johnson along with the governor of the NBA Brooklyn Nets, Joe Tsai.
Lacrosse
Fans can watch the Desert Dogs play ‘Box Lacrosse,’ which is on a hockey rink lined with turf instead of ice. The game is made up of four fifteen-minute quarters, similar to football, but plays out more like a hockey game. Five players and a goaltender from each are allowed on the field at one time, but players rotate in and out taking shifts throughout the whole game.
Schedule & Tickets
The very first home game kicks off on Friday, December 16 at 7:30 p.m. The season will continue through April of 2023 with a total of 18 games; 9 home and 9 away.

- Saturday, February 4 at 7:30 p.m. against Colorado Mammoth in Las Vegas
- Friday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m. against Calgary Roughnecks in Las Vegas
- Saturday, March 11 at 7:30 p.m. against Vancouver Warriors in Las Vegas
- Saturday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m. against Rochester Knighthawks in Las Vegas
- Saturday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m. against San Diego Seals in Las Vegas
- Saturday, April 29 at 7:30 p.m. against Saskatchewan Rush in Las Vegas
Tickets for all games start at $25 and can be purchased online.
