Half Bird Chicken & Beer is a new fast-casual restaurant from local chef Brian Howard. [caption id="attachment_18503" align="aligncenter" > https://www.instagram.com/halfbirdlv/[/caption] Half Bird Chicken & Beer Half Bird Chicken & Beer is a new restaurant from Sparrow + Wolf’s Brian Howard that recently opened up. He puts his own spin on chicken and serves it not fried, but rotisserie-style.  From plain juicy rotisserie wings and nuggets to sandwiches, the chicken is served with a side of his own unique sauces. 

  The Menu The menu features chicken in a few different ways. Try rotisserie-style wings, a half-bird, or “the whole frickin’ bird.” Chicken Sandos, aka sandwiches, like the Spring Mountain Hot Chicken, Classic Fried Chicken, and The No Bird vegan option all come on a potato roll with pickled cucumber and lettuce. Crispy nuggets, also known here as “nuggs,” are on the menu, too; try them with one of many signature sauces.

These sauces include green curry ranch, sweet miso bbq, wild honey mustard, scallion ginger, chili garlic crunch, yuzu hot honey, and sriracha mayo. 

The chicken used at Half Bird is pasture-raised, free-range, cage-free, local, organic, and just all-around good quality.

The side dishes served here are what you would expect to go along with chicken, but with a unique spin. Try the Gravy Fries covered in umami gravy, scallions, and sesame. Togarashi Rolls, which is a Japanese milk bread, with honey butter and sea salt are an enticing option too. Brix’s Mac & Cheese, Tingling Chicken Salad, Rotisserie Rice, and roasted broccoli are among the other accompaniments. 

In addition to all of the chicken, they serve local beers, too; after all, it is called Half Bird Chicken & Beer. Featured beers include Crafthaus, Able Baker, and HUDL.

  Location & Hours Half Bird is open daily. Sunday through Thursday from 11 am to 11 pm, Friday and Saturday from 11 to 2 am. Find it at 3500 Wynn Road Las Vegas, NV 89012.
