Nelson, Nevada, used to be home to a successful gold and silver mining town back in the day. Now, it s known as
Nelson Ghost Town. It s full of original structures like log cabins with tin roofs, wooden barns, and a water tower. There are tons of vintage antiques and artifacts like Coca-Cola signs, tools, machinery, gas pumps, and rusty classic cars all around.
This is your chance to explore the Wild West about an hour outside of Vegas.
Take a tour of the mines that once operated from the late 1800s to 1940s for only $15! It s about an hour long and requires a bit of walking, so wear comfy shoes. Tours are offered at 9 am, 12 pm, and 2 pm. Make your required reservation here. You ll learn all about the rich history of the town and its mining industry.

You can walk around the small town and check out the unique buildings and antiques. There s even a plane crash site! (it s not actually real though). But if you pay $10 an hour to take a photo tour, you ll be given more access to the inside of the buildings and other spaces. All of the profits from tours help the town stay open.
Nelson is a remote town, so make sure to be prepared with water and any other essentials you think you ll need since any kind of infrastructure is about an hour away.
