The Athletics are on the road to calling Las Vegas home shortly but might face a major roadblock.
The stadium will reportedly cost $1.5 billion, and Owner John Fisher is responsible for a large portion of this. However, Fisher has a history of not following through. He plans to pay for part of his share through equity investing.
"The last piece of the puzzle was private financing," JMP analyst Mitch Germain told the Nevada Independent. "Chatter suggests this may have hit a roadblock."

EA SPORTS MADDEN NFL[/caption]
Once again, it’s that magical time when NFL fans can buy the new Madden 25 game.
Some fans will probably want to take over the Las Vegas Raiders in franchise mode and try changing history.
However, EA released the Raiders' top ten players, and fans have a mixed bag to work with. For example, you have superstars like Max Crosby at 97 and Davantae Adams at 94. After Crosby, the next best member of the defense is Christian Wilkins at 88. Other notables include Nate Hobbs at 81 and Tre’von Moehrig at 80.

Never say never is the general rule in pro wrestling, and that's especially true for the road to WrestleMania 41. This 2025 edition of the pay-per-view will take place in Las Vegas for the first time in 24 years.
Several big feuds are already being hinted at, including Roman Reigns versus the Rock. Another big one is Cody Rhodes versus the Rock, one of the matches WWE fans were hoping for at WrestleMania 40. 16-time world champion John Cena is even set to retire at the star-studded event.
The show of shows is now taking on an even bigger meaning after it was hinted that Stone Cold Steve Austin might make an appearance. Austin's last appearance in WWE was an encounter with Vince McMahon, during which he delivered his famous stunner to the boss.
“It’s hard to get me out of this state,” Nevada local Austin said. “WrestleMania next year is in Vegas. That’s in Nevada.”

The words history and Aja Wilson just seem to go together for some reason. She’s already a two-time WNBA champion, Defensive Player of the Year, and league MVP, and she keeps adding to her accolades. In fact, she just made history in week one of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
According to a statement released by FIBA after Team USA's victory against Japan, “A’Ja Wilson has made more than 20 points and more than 10 rebounds for the second straight time in the Olympics 2024, after never doing it so in her eight games in the 2020 edition; she has now four double-doubles at the Olympics, the most of any USA player in the 21st century.”
She joins Chelsea Grey, Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, and the rest of Team USA in looking for their ninth straight Olympic gold in the event.

Las Vegas Raiders[/caption]
The head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, Antonio Pierce, is being heavily scrutinized this offseason. A reporter asked if Zamir White would take most of the third-down snaps and got a very interesting answer.
"I think it’s wide open everywhere on our team, honestly. I keep saying it, it’s competition. it's kind of cliche, but it's true," Pierce said. "We have guys that have played in the league, guys that haven't played in the league, and rookies. Guys have shown up and I think everybody that’s getting an opportunity."
This is a very refreshing perspective compared to the old regime, which already had its hand-picked guys. T
