Kliff Kingsberry was rumored to be the next offensive coordinator for the Las Vegas Raiders, but the deal is now breaking down. This is according to ESPN. Sports Illustrated now reports that Luke Getsy is the new leading candidate for the job.

This is another wild turn of events for the Raiders, and fans are suspicious of what exactly fell through on both sides. The change also means that Luke Getsy will work as Antonio Pierce's Assistant Coach, making for an interesting pairing.

#5 A’ja Wilson comments on not winning MVP in 2024

A’ja Wilson might be the star of the Las Vegas Aces, but she isn’t the reigning MVP. She also finished fourth place in the voting, which she takes personally. She discussed feeling snubbed during an interview with Draymond Green.

“I don’t think I ever felt that low in my career, honestly, because I felt okay if I didn’t get it. But that fourth place, like being third and fourth, like that is what did it,” Wilson said on the Feb. 1 Draymond Green Show. “Not getting it, it's like I gotta charge it to the game, you know. I get it, voter fatigue, whatever you want to say, cool... But being third and fourth was like, absolutely not. It struck my core."

Voter fatigue might be an issue, but there is also the fact that she is on one of the most stacked teams in the WNBA. This squad has Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Chelse Grey, Kiah Stokes, and several other key playmakers. Wilson is integral to that formula, but it's holding her back from getting MVP votes.

The Athletics have been pulling some weird stunts since announcing their move to Las Vegas, and now their future is shrouded in controversy. They are already facing backlash for holding off on revealing the rendering for the new stadium, which people found suspicious.

According to sources talking to Sactown Sports, there is some talk of the Athletics disbanding for three seasons until the venue is ready to go in 2028. This comes as the Athletics pay visits to Salt Lake City and Sacramento for possible interim locations.

“So basically, between 2025 and 2028, Major League Baseball would run with 29 teams," Allen Stiles explained how the three-year absence would work. "And when 2028 comes around, they will do an expansion draft. Those players could sign with other teams… and then we would refresh everything in 2028 in Vegas.”

Max Crosby is responsible for the lion's share of the Raiders' defense in 2023, and he did so with a busted knee. He discussed the extent of his injury during an episode of The Rush with Max Crosby, which includes details on working through his injury.

"So, basically explaining it, my bursae was destroyed and dismantled, so when I blew it up the first time, it's like, okay, it could heal if you get off it and whatever, but I played 16 straight weeks with it in practice and ran and all type of s---," Crosby said. "It just kept getting worse, and every game, I kept landing on it, and it kept blowing up.  it got infected at one point."

This is the guy who finished the season with a total of 125 tackles and 14.5 sacks.

"It was just all types of f----- up. But the more you keep pounding on it, it's like a compressor. , it's like getting a softball and smashing it, so it wasn't just in my knee, it was going all the way down into my tibia. So I was feeling that pain; I had no idea that that was because of the bursae."

The Las Vegas Aces are stronger than ever after extending the contract of Kiah Stokes and Destiny Solcom. They are also adding Megan Gustafson to their roster. Gustafson is a former member of the Phoenix Mercury and contributed 7.9 points and 3.9 rebounds last season.

“We are so happy to re-sign our two-time WNBA champion center, Kiah Stokes,” Aces general manager Natalie Williams said in a statement. “She is a consummate professional, a rim protector, and our secret 3-point shooter. Kiah is family, and we are blessed to have her back for two more years.”

Las Vegas seems to be making many strategic moves that point to them winning a third straight championship.

#1 Multiple names popping up as the next Las Vegas Raiders Quarterback

[caption id="attachment_45674" align="alignnone" width="686"]Las Vegas Raiders, Las Vegas sports, Source. YouTube[/caption]

There is a  question mark for the Las Vegas Raiders at the quarterback position, and many names are flying around. Some claim they want Bo Nix, while others state that Caleb Williams is an option. This is horrible news for Aidan O’Connell, who earned the starting job midseason last year.

These options are worse than Russel Wilson or trying to trade for Justin Fields. Ideally, Las Vegas would want some veteran experience in that locker room—someone who has spent years in the NFL and has proven their consistency.
