Logan Thompson had a great year in 2022 and came close to helping the Golden Knights compete in the Stanley Cup. Unfortunately, Thompson went down with a lower-body injury in March. The injury ultimately left him out of the playoffs and forced The team to rely on Adin Hill.

“I think it’s more of a mental toll,” Thompson says of missing so much time last season. “You start to get frustrated and cranky because you want to be out there so bad. I think the way my season ended was shi**y, to say the least, but how the team ended was amazing.”

Dearica Hamby has now filed a lawsuit against the Las Vegas Aces based on allegations made earlier in the year. These include the assertion that Becky Hammon accused her of signing a two-year extension while knowing she was pregnant. The lawsuit also alleges that the Aces retaliated against her for the pregnancy. This news comes only months after The WNBA did their own investigation and suspended Hammon for two games.

"[Hamby's pregnancy] wasn't a problem, and it never was why we made the decision," Hammon claims in an interview. "We made the decision to move Hamby because we could get three bodies in her one contract, and we wanted to get three more people in. I think it's very evident [with] who we signed on why we made the move.

#4 Kyle Busch calls the next-gen car the downfall of his racing career

[caption id="attachment_39472" align="alignnone" width="1024"]Kyle Busch, Las Vegas, Source. Facebook[/caption]

One thing that everyone appreciates about Kyle Busch is he speaks his mind. The Las Vegas native did so again last week with a bombshell statement.

“I still feel like I can do that – I can drive from the back of the field to the front of the field. But in reality, with this car, equipment, talent and everything being so equal, the SMT data – everybody seeing it and being so equal – it’s tougher than ever to pass the guy in front of you. So, I guess that’s kind of been a bit of my demise, which is I don’t feel like I can do as much as I want to be able to," Busch explained

Kyle Busch is now out of the 2023 playoffs after finishing third at the Charlotte Roval on Sunday. Rowdy put on a great show, however, and almost took the lead on one of the final restarts of the race. He even tried to force Allmendinger up against the wall on one restart, hoping to take the lead. Busch's championship hopes are now done for 2023, but what an effort in his first year with RCR.

Tom Brady wants to buy a minority stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, but the plan has reportedly stalled. According to sources, this is due to fear that Raiders owner Mark Davis is giving Brady a major discount on the deal. Some report that he is receiving 70% off what others would pay.

A  source spoke with the Washington Post and claimed there's is no way the deal gets done under these conditions. They also say there is no way that 24 of the 32 owners will vote yes on this acquisition. It's believed that Brady wants to buy around 5-10% of the organization.

NFL owners are set to vote in October during a meeting in New York City.

Davantae Admas wanting out of Las Vegas has been a rumor for months, and some see him leaving soon. A lot of outlets are pointing to Josh McDaniels' ineffectiveness and Jimmy Garoppolo's struggling as possible reasons. Despite these rumors, others claim that Adams is here to stay.

“With the Raiders struggling, Davante Adams is a popular name for fans to throw around as a potential dream trade candidate,” Jeremy Fowler wrote. “From what I’ve always heard, however, Adams has been set on playing in Vegas long-term. That has been the plan from when he got traded there in 2022.

#1 Las Vegas Aces take game one of the WNBA Finals

[caption id="attachment_39473" align="alignnone" width="819"]Las Vegas Aces, Las Vegas Source. Facebook[/caption]

The Las Vegas Aces took on the New York Liberty in game one of the WNBA Finals, and a lot happened on the court. The first few quarters seemed like they could go either way after watching Jonquel Jones knock down shot after shot. The Aces definitely had trouble on defense, allowing the Liberty to keep it close.

Fast forward to the second half, and the Aces started to do what they do best, and that's play defense! This began with outscoring the Liberty by ten in the third quarter. The effort was led by Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young, Chelsea  Grey, and Aj’a Wilson, who contested shots.

The Aces erupted in the fourth quarter and finished 99-82. Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum both dominated with 26 points each. Kelsey Plum contributed one assist and five rebounds, while Young grabbed five rebounds. This is a very interesting start to the Finals and shows that the Aces aren’t untouchable. It's also a great example of The Aces' dominating second-half defense.
