Max Crosby and Jimmy Garoppolo get into an altercation, the Aces clinch a playoff spot, and Noah Gragson gets suspended. Let's talk about last week in Las Vegas sports (July 31 - Aug 6).

Jimmy Garoppolo has made a lot of friends in training camp, but Max Crosby is no longer one of them. In fact, Crosby was punished after an altercation with Garoppolo last week. According to a report from the Athletics, the two got into it during a drill, and Crosby was forced to run laps.
Speculation is that Crosby got a little too competitive, and the two made contact. That explains why Crosby got punished and Garoppolo didn't. McDaniels doesn't want anyone coming near his Quarterback while his recovery continues.

The Las Vegas Raiders received great news last week after three players made the NFL Top-100 list. The honor goes to Max Crosby, Davantae Addams, and Joshua Jacobs, who all have been impact players for the Raiders. This makes them some of the best players the NFL has to offer.
Jacobs is ranked 12th on the list, Adams is ranked 13th, and Crosy comes in at 17th.
#4 Noah Gragson suspended for liking a meme mocking George Floyd

Legacy Motorsports has suspended Las Vegas native Noah Gragson after he liked an offensive meme on social media. The image mocked police brutality victim George Floyd, who died in 2020 after being kneeled on for several minutes.
"We have made the decision to suspend Noah Gragson effective immediately regarding his actions that do not represent the values of our team," Legacy Motorsports stated in a press release. "Josh Berry will drive the No. 42 entry for this weekend's NASCAR Cup Series race at Michigan."
Gragson's latest blunder comes days after rumors started circulating about him losing his ride to John Hunter Nemechek next season. Unfortunately for Gragson, this and Legacy Motorsports' looming move to Toyota seems to point to this being the case. Gragson apologized for his actions later that day in his own statement.

The Las Vegas Aces are almost unstoppable this season, which is perfectly reflected in their 24-2 record. They even made history last week after clinching a spot in the playoffs six weeks early. That's a first for any team in the league. It also comes at a very crucial time for Las Vegas.
While this is a historic accomplishment, the team is dealing with Candance Parker's injury and the ongoing situation with Riquina Williams. She was suspended by the team two weeks ago after getting arrested for domestic assault.
Despite these obstacles, the team is on an eight-game winning streak and has a guaranteed spot in the playoffs. The only thing left to do is prepare for the postseason and try to perfect their strategy on the court.

Super Bowl 58 marks the first time the big game is being played in Nevada, but that's not the only history being made. Allegiant Stadium is also getting the Nickelodeon treatment after the NFL announced a kid-centric version of Super Bowl 58 will broadcast on the iconic channel.
"We're thrilled to partner with CBS Sports and Nickelodeon to present the first alternate telecast of the Super Bowl," NFL media executive vice president Hans Schroeder said in a statement. "Our previous telecasts on Nickelodeon have been huge hits and created a new and different way to experience an NFL game."
The telecast is being lauded as a way to introduce younger viewers to the game by utilizing key Nickelodeon properties. These could include anything from Patrick Star doing commentary or iconic children's show characters celebrating alongside real-life athletes. They might even drop slime in the endzone for good measure!

Joshua Jacobs is sitting out training camp in hopes of a better deal, but it isn't working. The Raiders and Jacobs still haven't come close to an agreement. Despite all this, coach Josh McDaniels is hopeful that Jacobs will come back to the team.
"I think everybody loves and respects JJ (Jacobs) and understands the process," McDaniels said Monday via Sports Illustrated's Gilberto Gilberto Manzano. "I certainly do. And I've said it a million times this year: I love the player and the person, and I understand the process he's going through. We're going to work as hard as we can with the guys that are here every day, and ultimately when he's back, we're going to look forward to getting him back and integrated into the group."
