From the Las Vegas Raiders' final roster to a victory by the Las Vegas Aces, here's everything that happened last week in Las Vegas sports (Aug 29 - Sep 4).

The NASCAR Xfinity Series is where names are made and Noah Gragson did just that Saturday at Darlington Raceway. The Las Vegas native dueled with Kyle Larson and Sheldon Creed for several laps before eventually making an aggressive three-wide move in the final turn.
All three drivers didn’t have the tires to make their moves stick, and all ended up in the wall coming out of turn four. Creed got the worse of it, careening into the wall and paving the way for Gragson to get by. Gragson made contact with the wall too but was able to recover and beat Creed to the line. Kyle Larson finished 4th.

The Las Vegas Raiders finalized their 53-man roster for the 2022 season, but it didn’t come without controversy. The biggest one had to be Alex Leatherwood getting released by the organization after being drafted in the first round.
Trayvon Mullen got the boot, too, after being traded to the Arizona Cardinals for a possible 7th-round pick. The former Clemson Tiger got selected in the second round of the 2019 draft in what some hoped would be a big addition to the defense. That didn’t pan out, and he is now gone after only three seasons.

The Las Vegas Aces have won multiple season awards so far in 2022, and that continued with A’ja Wilson winning the Defensive Player of the Year! Previously, Jackie Young won Most Improved Player of the Year, and Becky Hammon earned Coach of the Year. The Aces are currently battling their way through the postseason in hopes of reaching the Finals. Do they have what it takes to win? Or will it be another late-season disappointment for Las Vegas?

The Las Vegas Golden Knights added depth to their roster last week after acquiring Adin Hill by trade. The Golden Knights relinquished a sixth-round pick to the San Jose Sharks for the veteran goaltender in a surprising move. The controversy come after the organization claimed they were confident in their goalie rotation.
#3 Roman Reigns reveals why he got removed from Money in The Bank pay-per-view

The WWE came to Las Vegas for their Money in the Bank pay-per-view only two months ago, but it didn't come without controversy. It is speculated that Roman Reigns got removed from the event due to the WWE deciding to move venues.
"Well, the strategy for the first few months after Mania (38) was to be on Money in the Bank," Reigns said during an interview with Sports Illustrated. "But once the show was changed and it was moved away from the Allegiant Stadium into the (MGM Grand Garden) Arena, we re-strategized and we just kind of stayed on the path of hitting these huge ones going into the winter."
#2 Bubba Wallace and Ty Gibbs car swap leaves Kurt Busch’s future uncertain.

Las Vegas native Kurt Busch hasn’t competed in almost two months due to a concussion-like injury suffered at Pocono Raceway. 23XI Racing even announced last week that they would be doing a driver swap and putting Bubba Wallace in the #45 to race for an owner's championship. The news comes after Busch relinquished his playoff spot and announced that he would miss the opening of the postseason.
This means Ty Gibbs, who has been filling in for Busch, moves to the #23 car starting at Darlington. That leaves Wallace to compete for an owner's title while Busch finishes the season in his teammate's car pending his return. There is still no definite timetable for Busch to return to action, but fans are hopeful he will be back soon.
#1 Las Vegas Aces go 2-1 over the Seattle Storm

The action started last Monday when the Seattle Storm managed a 76-73 victory over the Aces. The loss was pretty disappointing for Sin City, but they responded with a 78-73 victory days later. This put all eyes on a pivotal game three matchup, and the Aces did not back down. Sin City had the lead for much of the game but allowed the storm to tie the game. That forced the match into overtime, wherethe Aces outscored the Storm 18-6 to win 110-98
The effort was led by Aja Wilson, who put up 34 points, one assist, and 11 rebounds. Chelsea Grey contributed 29 points, 12 assists, and five rebounds. Kelsey Plum also got in on the fun, contributing 16 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists. The Aces and the Storm will battle again on Tuesday, September 6, in a must-see game four.
And that's how it went down last week in Las Vegas sports (Aug 29 - Sep 4)!
