CENTERFOLDS Is Busting Out All Over With New Shows

MURRAY’S MISFITS and EXXCITE by Jennifer Romas begin limited runs as the adult cabaret expands its entertainment portfolio…

Things are tough all over, especially when it comes to real estate. Owners and operators of Las Vegas venues are wisely transforming their spaces into multi-purpose outlets. Hence the advent of “Movies at the Pool”, daytime magic shows inside adult comedy clubs, showrooms doubling as event spaces, and restaurants offering dinner productions in their party spaces.

CENTERFOLDS CABARET, an established strip club on Paradise Road, got into the ticketed show arena a few years ago with A TOUCH OF BURLESQUE. A full-fledged production with classic burlesque, comedy, aerialists, superb choreography, and sensuality, A TOUCH OF BURLESQUE invites audiences to experience the lighter side of adult entertainment. Now the cabaret is expanding its landscape with two additional productions, one relatively new and the other an award-winning favorite.

“Come for the show, stay for the party” is CENTERFOLDS‘ entertainment slogan. The recently revamped showroom is a gloriously campy slice of Sin City, awash in garish colors, theatrical lighting, posh seating, VIP booths, plush fabric curtains, and a brass pole or two. Sounds like a perfect place for risque fun, doesn’t it?

This week, megawatt entertainer Jennifer Romas brings EXXCITE (full review here) to the CENTERFOLDS stage. A hard-rocking soft-core revue launched last summer at Rio Las Vegas, EXXCITE – The Show received Vegas 411‘s 2023 “Best New Adult Show“. Unfortunately, the sudden closure of THE DUOMO a few months later had the production looking for a new home.

Determined to keep her production alive, Romas booked several successful performances at Damian Costa’s The Composer’s Room.  Now EXXCITE begins its residency at CENTERFOLDS beginning July 14th. Showtime is 11 pm, and EXXCITE is scheduled to perform various evenings through September 21st. Click here for the full calendar and to purchase tickets.

Ms. Romas told VEGAS 411 earlier this week that SEXXY, her long-running show at Westgate Las Vegas, is very close to signing a major deal. Could we see the return of that popular burlesque musical at a Strip resort? We’ll let you know when we hear.

Another Vegas entertainer not only survived his showroom’s recent closure but made headlines at the same time. Comic magician Murray Sawchuck (of Tropicana’s LAUGH FACTORY) ruffled feathers at L.A.’s MAGIC CASTLE thanks to some online antics. A series of lighthearted videos featuring wife Dani Elizabeth supposedly violated an old code of ethics, and Sawchuck is no longer a part of the “Hogwarts of Magicians.”

Murray Sawchuck and Dani Elizabeth are ruffling feathers in a big way…

Riding the wave of controversy, Sawchuck reported a significant increase in his going rate and demand for gigs. Now he’s bringing the variety show MURRAY’S MISFITS to CENTERFOLDS CABARET. A sixty-minute showcase, it promises magic, comedy, naughty humor, danger, and sideshow acts.

Mon Dre, the “Prince of Magic”

Many familiar faces will be featured in the opening line-up. “Prince of Magic” Mon Dre (see the VEGAS 411 profile here) has entertained thousands through appearances at LATE NIGHT MAGIC, LOST DISTILLERY, and the MAGIC CASTLE (yes, Murray’s former stomping grounds). He alone is worth the price of admission.

Delightful Shell Brewer Stachowicz (above) brings her jaw-dropping talents to MURRAY’S MISFITS. Known to BurlesQ fans as “Pearly Shell”, this amazing contortionist does tricks with a bottle that you’ve never seen (not that!). Rounding out the cast is prop comic Joe Trammel who, like Murray, has seen his share of controversy this year. Together, this band of “misfits” guarantees quite an evening of entertainment:

“MURRAY’S MISFITS promises fun, laughter, and awe-inspiring moments, making it the ultimate choice for an unforgettable evening in Las Vegas. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, speak English or any other language, this dynamic and thrilling show is not to be missed.”

Elizabeth Hunt aka “Lizzy Jane” is the producer of Centerfolds new offerings. An ambitious prodigy, Hunt has quickly risen in both the Las Vegas scene and nationally. Ms. Hunt’s impressive resume includes Sahara‘s showroom, Fontainebleau Resort, HGTV, and Hallmark.

MURRAY’S MISFITS will perform on Saturdays and Sundays at 7 pm from July 20th through September 22nd. Tickets for “Exxcite -The Show,” “Murray’s Misfits,” and “A Touch of Burlesque” are available now at CVSMtickets.com. All shows are sponsored by HD Vodka and $1 from every ticket sale will be donated to the NSPCA.

Centerfolds Cabaret is located at 4416 Paradise Road, across from Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. All patrons must be 21 or older to enter.
