The Spirit of Innovation
The park was opened in 2013 and developed by investor Tony Hsieh. Hsieh was inspired by similar projects, such as the Boxpark in London. Today, the park covers approximately 19,000 square feet and includes unique clothing stores, bars, restaurants, and entertainment areas.
Downtown Container Park was initially envisioned as a place where startup businesses could get a foothold. Many startups continue to find success.

Tips for Your Visit
- Know the park hours. The park is open on weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Weekend hours are slightly different, with Fridays and Saturdays being 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sundays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. After 9 p.m., no guests under 21 are permitted.
- Entry to the park is free.
- No outside drinks or food are allowed.

Easy to Find Location
The Container Park is located at the corner of Fremont Street and South 7th Street. If you’re driving, it’s right off the I-5 and 93/95 freeway. A paid public lot is at 900 Fremont Street, just a short block and a half walk away.
