Become a movie critic at the Dam Short Film festival, celebrate Mardi Gras downtown, and more; here’s what to do in Las Vegas this weekend (Feb 17 – 19).
1. Watch the Dam Short Film Festival
Take a short drive to Boulder City and check out the 19th Annual Dam Short Film Festival. You can soak in more than 100 films ranging from quick-witted comedies to mind-bending science fiction.
The festival is split into 60 and 90-minute film blocks. Buy a $12 ticket for a single block, or spend $50 for a full day.
Online tickets are sold out, but you can still purchase tickets at the box office.

2. Celebrate Mardi Gras @ Legacy Club
It’s time for the Krewe de Legacy party at Circa’s Legacy Club. The rooftop bar will be alive with the spirit of Mardi Gras. Party with the sounds of pure jazz and tastes from an open bar.
Tickets are $120. Code Krewe20 gets you a 20% discount.

3. Make a date with Fido @ Sgt Puppa
Sgt Puppa is moving to the real world. On Friday, the online dog store opens its first-ever retail location. The store will be a glamorous spot at the Fashion show Mall where you can buy fancy dog treats, clothes, and accessories. Soon, you’ll be able to attend Prosecco & Pups brunches and adoption days.

4. Win a free tumbler at Mama Chai

There’s a new name in Chinatown. Mama Chai will host a grand opening party on Saturday afternoon and the first 200 guests in line get a free tumbler. Make sure you look inside if you snag one. A few of the tumblers will be loaded with a $50 or $100 gift card.
