1. Feel the island vibes @ Pure Aloha

It’s time for the annual Pure Aloha festival. Organizers are putting on the biggest show yet, with traditional dancers, nightly concerts, carnival rides, artists, and tons of Hawaiian and Pacific Islander food. Tickets to get inside the festival grounds are $15.

2. Support local artists @ First Friday

Head Downtown for First Friday, a monthly art walk around Boulder Avenue and 1st Street. Enjoy gorgeous weather, food trucks, and at least 60 artisans and vendors. This month’s theme is “All Abilities,” with muralist Malachi Williams as the featured artist.

3. Slip into your best flapper dress @ a 1920s party

Join the festivities at Gatsby’s Cocktail Lounge with a 1920s-inspired party celebrating the 98th anniversary of the publication of The Great Gatsby. The party will take place at 10 pm, a few days before the actual anniversary. Dress elegantly and revel in the ambiance as you enjoy craft cocktails that draw inspiration from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel.

4. Try different food @ the 626 Night Market

Ready for the night market? On Saturday and Sunday, you can explore offerings from at least 35 vendors at the Palms. The event also includes a full bar and live music. The 626 Night Market returns every other weekend until May 21.

5. Drink up at the Best Dam Wine Walk
Discover Boulder City’s historic downtown district with sips of wine along the way during the Best Dam Wine Walk. You’ll indulge in at least 20 participating businesses’ offerings while enjoying a pleasant stroll. Dress to fit the luau theme, and you might win a prize.
