From getting revved up for a drag race to honoring Celtic culture at the Highland Games, here’s what to do in Las Vegas this weekend (Apr 14 – 16).

1. Get revved up for a drag race

The NHRA Four-Wide Nationals brings drag racing back to Las Vegas this weekend. Cheer on four heavily modified dragsters as they race simultaneously, running side by side and accelerating with 11,000-horsepower engines. Live music and plenty of food and drinks will complete the scene.

Tickets start at $101.

When: Friday – Sunday

2. Buy vintage at a local market

Enjoy the sunny spring weather in Las Vegas and visit Vintage Market Days at The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin. Shop for upcycled antiques, crafts, clothing, decor, jewelry, and art from independent vendors at “My Happy Place,” an open-air market that lasts for three days. You can also grab delicious food truck bites.

Tickets are $15 Friday, $10 Sat – Sun

When: Fri – Sat, 10 am – 5 pm; Sun, 10 am – 4 pm 

Where: The Lawn at Downtown Summerlin

3. Chill out at a free bluegrass festival

Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and head to the free Las Vegas Bluegrass Festival at Centennial Hills Park. The good vibes start at 11 am with the Nevada Old-Time Fiddlers Association and continue until the Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway take the stage at 5:45 pm. Their album “Crooked Tree” was awarded the Best Bluegrass Album Grammy this year.

Tickets are free.

When: Saturday, 10 am – 7 pm

4. Stroll through a wine and food truck festival

The Food Truck and Wine Walk by the Great American Foodie Fest is set to take over Tivoli Village this Saturday. Attendees can relish the chance to taste exclusive off-menu dishes from some of the top food trucks in Las Vegas, expertly paired with drinks from over 15 wine-tasting stations. For an even more indulgent experience, go VIP and enjoy bonus hors d’oeuvres and drink samples.

When: Saturday, 6 – 10 pm 

Where: Tivoli Village

5. Honor Celtic culture

The 2023 Las Vegas Highland Games, organized by the Las Vegas Celtic Society, will take place at Craig Ranch Regional Park. Enjoy bagpipe and dance competitions, traditional cuisine, and athletic events like the caber toss and Scottish hammer throw. The festival runs for two days.

Tickets start at $15.

When: Sat-Sun, 9 am – 5 pm

6. Shop, eat, and dance at Fergusons Downtown

It’s busy at Fergusons Downtown. First up is the Hey Maker Market, where you can spend the day shopping from unique vendors. Take a nap and return for the SunCan Music Festival in the evening.

Admission to Hey Maker Market is free; the SunCan Music Festival costs $15
