A free air show at Nellis Air Force Base will be open to the public for a two days
Free Air Show at Nellis Air Force Base : Aviation Nation 2022
Nellis Air Force Base will once again host the Aviation Nation air show, open to the public, on Saturday, November 5, and Sunday, November 6. This is a celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Air Force. There will be several aerial performers, airplanes on display, and aviation exhibits, along with food and beverage vendors. It’s completely free to attend! Complementary shuttle buses will take visitors from the parking area at the LV Motor Speedway to the base in the middle of the desert.
Performers & Planes
Several pilots will fly a variety of aircraft. The world-renowned USAF Thunderbirds are the headliners. The group will fly over in formations and perform solo stunts. Other performers will include Aftershock jet trucks, professional aerobatic pilot Bill Stein, The Horsemen Flight Team, Heritage Flight pilots flying vintage warplanes, and many more. Performers will also sign autographs and take photos with fans during the show.
Nellis Air Force Base will be open to the public from 8 am to 4:30 pm, and buses will run visitors to the show from 8 am to 2 pm as well as back to the parking lots after the event.
Free parking will be available at the Las Vegas Motorspeedway. There will be five lots with at least one bus stop located in each. Shuttle buses will transport all visitors to the air force base, no one will be allowed to simply walk in.
All spectators will also be required to pass through a security checkpoint to enter. Refer to their website for a complete list of items that are prohibited.
