Race weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a glorious event. You don’t even need to be a racing fan to have a good time.
How should you experience Race Weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway?
What’s the best way to experience racing action at Las Vegas Motor Speedway? The answer to that question varies by who you ask, but there are essentially two options. You can either sit in the grandstands with 1,000s of other fans or head to the infield for a different kind of party.
Both come with benefits and drawbacks, which means it’s up to you to decide what’s best. Let’s start with the grandstands, where you can sit along the front stretch of Las Vegas Motor Speedway. See the finish up close as the leaders come speeding towards the start/finish line.
The middle section of the grandstands will provide the best experience on race day. You can also see pit stops up close, which can be pretty chaotic. Another option is sitting towards the exit to turn four, where you can see the cars coming out the final turn. In contrast, you can sit closer to the entrance of turn one and see some exciting restarts.
Luxury suites at LVMS are available
What about something a little fancier? If you want to experience the thrill of NASCAR without roughing it, give their club packages a shot. This includes a neon garage pass for the infield, a full view of the track, complimentary food and beverages, and a pass to see driver introductions. The best part is that you can watch the race inside from the comfort of a temperature-controlled room. This means no desert heat and some of the best food you will find at the racetrack.
The fact that you can venture down to the track and see driver introductions is icing on the cake for this experience. Stand in the infield while your favorite driver’s name is called, and the crowd goes wild. Also, catch a pre-race concert and some backstage action in the neon garage. Both are exciting opportunities to meet new people, hear great music, and enjoy NASCAR to the fullest.
Go camping at Las Vegas Motor Speedway
Then there’s the camping option. While most of the selection for camping is located in the infield, there is an RV Camping section located outside of the speedway. This is on a hill and offers one of the most unique views in NASCAR. Your other option is a variety of parking spots in the infield for both RVs and camping.
The best part of being in the infield is that it comes with a different vibe. People are a little more relaxed and have different setups to enjoy. Some might have a mini pool, while others might bring old cars to see. There’s always something exciting going on.
