Tom Devlin’s Monster Museum in Boulder City is a collection of special effects makeup, props, costumes, and characters from horror movies. This museum is full of professional special effects makeup artist Tom Devlin’s personal collection and creations. He’s been in the industry for 20 years, making masks, working on over 100 films, and appearing on SyFy’s Face Off.
This is a worthy destination for horror fans. Occasionally you might find the actors who have played horror movie villains at this museum doing signings.
In addition to the impressive collection on display, there are also two haunted houses on-site, Nightmare at the Museum and The Fright Zone. Nightmare at the Museum is a flashlight tour of the museum’s creature collection. When the lights are out, some of these characters come out to play, so watch out! The Fight Zone is a haunted house full of terrifying characters and horrific scenes. These two will be open every weekend throughout October. Tickets for both attractions are only $25.
Tom Devlin’s Monster Museum is open every day from 10 am to 6 pm. Admission costs $15 for adults, $7 for children ages 6 to 11, and nothing for children five years or younger. Tickets are available online. Tours are self-guided. The museum is located at 1310 Boulder City Pkwy, Boulder City, NV 89005 (across from Boulder City Hospital and next to the Nevada State Railroad Museum).
